Okay okay, I know it's only Wednesday, but I am as giddy as a kid on Christmas eve. It's been almost exactly 10 years since I last had the pleasure of visiting Gotham, and I am totally stoked (even if this is tomorrow's high... brrr). Matt has never been to NY, so it's going to be an action packed trip. Our itinerary (which he planned... except the random additions of shopping courtesy of moi) looks something like this:
Thursday:
Arrive at hotel, drop off luggage
Little Italy - lunch
Canal St, World Trade Center site, Financial District sights
Eat vendor hot dog
Art opening (WHAT THE HECK DO YOU WEAR TO A NY ART OPENING WHEN IT IS FREEZING? I am going to look like such a tourist in my "so last year" Atlanta fashions.)
Dinner at Bagatelle
Friday:
Empire State Building
Herald Square/Macy's
Spanish Harlem - Lunch
Rockefeller - Ice Skating
Time Square
Slice of NY pizza
See "In the Heights"
Late Dinner/Snack
Saturday:
MOMA
Central Park/Bloody Marys at the Boathouse
Shopping
St. Patrick's Cathedral
Dinner and out with friends
Sunday:
Brunch
Shopping
Head Home
Obviously, there's a smattering of other stops in there and maybe we won't do all of it. I want to eat an afternoon snack of chips and guacamole at Dos Caminos, hit up the cute shopping areas in Greenwich and such, see all the random things like Radio City, Carnegie, etc.
If any of you have any recommendations of things to see, places to eat, and most importantly, places to shop (that won't give Matt a coronary), let me know! Get excited for lots of pictures next week.

When I tried to do Ice Skating @ Rockefeller the line was forever long--the wait was over an hour I wanna say 2+ hours..so we didn't do it. That was also around Christmas so maybe it will be different now.
