More Wedding Photos...

Our extremely talented photographer and documentarian extraordinaire, Ingrid Damiani, has posted a sneak preview of our pictures on her blog, http://ingriddamiani.blogspot.com/. There's a link to a slideshow (which is easier to view by clicking the "Browse Gallery View" button in the bottom right corner, as the slideshow isn't loading correctly) with 110 pictures, and many more to come on pictage.com in the coming days! :)

Do you like Pina Coladas?

Yeah? Me, too! What's not to love about coconut and pineapple and rum? Ignore my previous post where I stated I didn't like them very much. Maybe it was being in tropical paradise or maybe I was just crazy, but I love them. And, I sure could use one right now. We got back from our honeymoon Saturday evening, and I had a message on my phone saying I needed to come into work Sunday if at all possible. I thought about pretending I was still in Mexico, but I am an awful liar (why did I have to be raised by such honest people!?). ;) So, as of 1:15 pm Tuesday, I've already logged around 25 hours this week. Talk about back to reality!

I know what you really want to know is about the big day and the week in paradise. :) Well, it was pretty close to perfect. No major mishaps on the wedding day and the weather was gorgeous! And, I truly understand what people mean when they say it just flies by. I feel like I barely remember the day, and I still can't believe it happened. I didn't feel at all how I thought I would feel. It just felt like a normal day, and I was getting married. In all honestly, it was wonderful, but it's kind of anticlimactic. You work so hard to plan something and in an instant, it's over. I also felt a little stressed at the reception about trying to see everyone and give them all the attention they deserved. Impossible! I finally just let it go and danced the night away! The pictures I've seen of people on the dance floor are priceless! I am glad that everyone had a good time (or they are really good fakers). :) My two regrets are not having anyone video tape the ceremony and not having the professional photographer all the way to the end, because it got pretty hilarious on the dance floor! Thankfully, we have some pictures, like this:

We called this the "Laneri Sandwich." My mom is in there somewhere.

And, here are a few more from the events of the day:

When we get the professional pics, I will post a few of those. Now, I better get back to work so I can leave before 10 tonight and go see my HUSBAND! :) xoxo-Mrs. Kristin

Goin' to the chapel...

And we're gonna get maaaaaarried! Jesus, Mary & Josephine... I can't believe it is only three days until the BIG day. WOW. I feel like I've been preparing for this for almost nine months... oh wait, I have! Truth be told, I've been imagining it for longer than that. Shocking, I know. I'd say I knew I wanted to marry Matt about a year or so into our relationship. Once we got through college and went our separate ways, it became increasingly clear that we had something special. When he moved to Atlanta after about a year of doing long distance and things only got better, I really knew. I'd say he must've known too, or he wouldn't have moved. Not sure what took him so darn long to ask, but good things come to those who wait! I know we'll have a good life together. If there's one thing about us, it's that our love is very real. It's not all that exciting or romantic... it's just a real love that works on an every day basis. We argue and fight and get on each other's nerves sometimes, but we each love the other enough to just let it go when it doesn't matter, and we always apologize when we realize we've been a donkey (and sometimes when we might not even think we've been a donkey).

I am so excited to share this day with our family and friends. We're very blessed. There are some people that will be greatly missed, two in particular, but we both know our dads will be with us in heart, mind and spirit.

After the big day, we're off to paradise for our honeymoon! Ahhhh... white sand, aqua water and all the food and drink you can want.

I will, of course, post all the details upon our return!!

McCain Palin 2008

I am not afraid to say it... I am a Republican, and I am PROUD to support John McCain and Sarah Palin for our next President and Vice President. Trust me, the three of you that read this will have the joy of reading my political rant later, but I won't go there yet. And, for the record, I don't think Barack Obama or Joe Biden are bad or evil people... I just don't agree with their politics. I hope you got to watch the RNC tonight.

I think I have a girl crush. Miss Wasilla 1984 all the way!
