Dreams
A dream is a wish your heart makes... when you're fast asleep.
In dreams you will lose your heartaches... whatever you wish for, you keep.
Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through.
No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true.
That Cinderella knew what she was talking about. (Except for those weird, inexplicable dreams... in those cases, I'm calling her bluff.)

I don't wannnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaa
Return to reality, that is. We spent 7.5 glorious days here and I want to go back and pretend that I don't have bills to pay and boring stuff like that. The dogs were nonetoohappy to return, and neither were we.
I received an e-mail from Matt around lunchtime with the following message.
Subject: St. George Island
Just think, this time last week we were eating oysters and grouper while drinking a cocktail and looking out at the gulf. Now I’m eating a sandwich with pretzels while drinking water and looking at a monitor.
{le sigh}
Some iPhone photos until I upload the rest from the cameras... be warned, lots of dogs fetching tennis balls on the beach coming your way.

Crazy little thing called life
- Please keep praying for Davis. Things are "good" right now, but they can change so quickly. It is really still amazing and unbelievable to me that this is happening. To my best friend. And her family. These things don't happen to people you love. But, they do. And, I know that God is the ultimate Healer and believe that He can and will heal Davis, so that he grows up big and strong and with an amazing testimony.
- Sewing Roman shades... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder than I thought it would be. Maybe I'll get them done by the end of the month? And, I'm pretty sure they are not going to look so great down, so I might insititute a shades up at all times rule. :) Thankfully, they are on the side of our house and one of them is for a window that's been "naked" since living here, so whatevs.
- We were in Charlotte this weekend for one of my best friend's SURPRISE 30th birthDAI parties. AY wins husband of the year for that one. She was (in her own words as captured on video) "so so so so SO surprised." It was way fun and I want to move to "Camelot" to live with them. :)

- After you've prayed for Davis, if you wouldn't mind saying a little prayer for me, I'd appreciate it. God will know the reason. :)
- My mom was asking me for a recent picture of Matt and me and I do not have one. That's sad. Plan to remedy that soon.
- Did you know that Pottery Barn offers a 10% "new move" discount? Something to that effect. I just purchased a sofa (the kitchen remodel has extended into finally just decorating the house so we can stop saying, "when we do {insert home improvement project or decorating}..."), and being the bargain shopper I am, I tried to get any available discounts. So, maybe we didn't just move, but it is the sofa we're buying for our new(ish) home, just two years later.
- We've got some much needed R&R coming up and I cannot wait.
- PRAY FOR DAVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visual Interest
I'm going to wait until it's completely done, rug in, curtains hung, etc. before posting any more photos BUT I had to let you see a little sneak peek of what kept us busy all weekend. Tile saw + Kristin = BFF. It's not grouted or caulked yet, but isn't she beautiful?
P.S. On a much less superficial note, I went to the hospital last night to see Jenn, Matt and sweet Davis. He is hanging in there... such a strong little guy. No news is good news, and while as of yesterday, his heart "looked" the same on the echo, his vitals were very good. Praying that the worst is over and that God heals him completely.

Need your prayers
Please pray for my best friend, Jenn's, baby boy Davis. He has been in the hospital being treated for bacterial meningitis for 11 days (since he was 6 days old). Things were looking good, and then they took a turn for the worse. Maybe Wednesday or Thursday, the test came back positive for enterovirus, but the doctors still thought he may have bacterial meningitis because of the numbers, so they (thankfully) kept him to keep treating him prophylatically (not too much you can do for viral). Long story short, he started having cardiovascular and respiratory issues on Friday night, because the virus started attacking his heart. He's had to go through a host of tests and go on even more drugs to help his heart function. They need to stop and reverse the damage. Since they began treatment, he has not gotten worse but they have only seen a little improvement. The doctor is encouraged, but it's not as much improvement as they'd hope to see.
I know that God is the ultimate Healer and that He can do anything. I am praying to Him for full healing of Davis and strength, hope and faith for his parents, family and friends. I believe God will heal Davis and that he will have an amazing testimony to share about the prayers and love poured out for him and his family at the beginning of his life.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
